Course program
Demonstrate Knowledge of the Firearms Control Act (Act 60 of 2000) is the Unit Standard required by the SAPS to renew a firearm license issued under the old Firearms & Ammunition Act to the new FCA.
This Unit Standard is also the first step in the training process for private firearm owners to acquire a Competency Certificate. An additional unit standard must be completed to enable the person to apply for a competency certificate for a specific firearm type, e.g. Handle & Use a Handgun needs also to be completed when applying for Handgun Competency.
