ACADEMY BACKGROUND
Academy of Advanced Make-Up was founded 5 years ago by Michelle Hogan. Working professionally in the industry for 12 years, she noticed the need for exclusive, up-to-date, comprehensive make-up artistry courses and superior tuition.

We are committed to creating innovative, confident, successful make-up artists. We provide all the tools needed to thrive in this exciting industry.
The Academy assists as a booking agent for all of its qualified students whenever possible and provides valuable information regarding business plans, career opportunities, direct marketing and so forth. On completion of the course, students also receive a letter of recommendation from the Academy.
The Academy prides itself on the good reputation it has acquired over the years and as with any business, word of mouth is always the best form of advertising, therefore all students are rewarded for their efforts in referring new students. A discount on the course fee is offered if you enroll with a friend or a percentage of the chosen course fee will be granted if a new student has been referred to the Academy.
We have branches in KZN and JHB and more opening in the near future! We always welcome prospective business owners wishing to own a franchise. Within the next two years, if not sooner, we would like the Academy to expand globally. All plans are already in motion.
ACADEMY COURSES
There are courses to suit everyone, starting from the basic Silver Course (Bridal Make-Up) to the elite Platinum Course (Advanced Professional).
A Personal Portfolio is incorporated in the Platinum course, consisting of Professional Photographs which are compiled into an impressive 20 page, A4, hardcover, ‘coffee-book style’ portfolio!
Professional Make-Up Kits are included with the more advanced courses. We also offer advice on the best products to use and how to build a kit to suit your budget.
The learner is always encouraged to progress at a pace that is suitable for them and this ensures that only the elite come from the Academy of Advanced Make-Up!
